Text messaging support for young people

A confidential advice service for teenagers in Notts.

Young people in Nottinghamshire are being advised that advice and support is available via the ChatHealth text messaging service.
If you are worried about your feelings, health, growing up, relationships or even your exams then you can text a school nurse using ChatHealth, a confidential text service that enables you to send messages to a dedicated number.
The service, run by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Healthy Family Teams, is available to all young people aged 11 – 19 years.
It can provide confidential advice on a range of issues like bullying, emotional health and wellbeing, sexual health as well as illnesses.
Text messages are delivered to a secure website and the school nursing team will pick up and respond to texts within one working day.
The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm, excluding bank holidays.
During out–of–hours, anyone who texts the service will receive an automated message with advice on where to get help if their question is urgent.
The ChatHealth number is 07507 329952.
