Services for young people appeal

A chance for young people to speak out on NHS services.

Young people in north Nottinghamshire are being urged to have a voice in the future of NHS services.

The Youth Forum, based at King’s Mill Hospital with reach across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, is a group of young people aged 16-24 years.

They are supported by executives and clinical staff to focus on bringing the voice of young people to the forefront of decision making, policy and service design for the future.

They have a core membership who come together in person once a month, making links to NHS services.

They also have a virtual forum where individuals can provide online support, comments and ideas.

If you are interested in joining this brilliant group of forward thinking young people, ideally placed to influence and have a voice, please email: sfh-tr.youth.forum@nhs.net

Some work they have started already is the transition from child to adult services as well as diabetes care and treatment.

They are an inclusive group and on the hunt for young people to represent the spectrum of ability, gender, sexuality and the like.

If you would like an informal chat in the first instance please do get in touch.
