It’s easy to find a GP practice and get in touch to ask about becoming a new patient – they will give you a form to fill in to register with the practice. You have the right to choose a GP that best meets your needs and you can compare GP practices online as well as asking friends and relatives for their opinions.
Dentists are also easy to find. Sometimes dentists won’t have capacity to take on new NHS patients and they might add you to a waiting list – try other nearby practices to see if they have capacity for new patients.
If you require urgent dental care and your usual dental practice can’t see you – you can call NHS 111 by dialing 111 for advice on where to get urgent care.
