Mental Health Support Teams

The Mental Health Support Team is a new service available in certain schools in the Gedling, Rushcliffe, Mansfield and Ashfield areas.

Mental Health Support Teams are an early intervention wellbeing service.

They are aimed at providing support for children, young people and families around low-level emotional wellbeing needs, such as anxiety, low mood, managing emotions, and sleep.

They link in directly with the Nottinghamshire CAMHS teams and provide ‘in school’ sessions to promote positive mental health.

The schools included in this project will have a designated Mental Health Lead, who can refer  directly into the Mental Health Support Team.

If you’d like some support for low-level emotional wellbeing or mental health needs please contact your school and ask to speak to their Mental Health Lead.

Alternatively, you can phone the Nottinghamshire CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) on 0115 854 2299 and make a self-referral specifically for telephone support from your school’s Mental Health Support Team.
