FRESH: Sexual Health Services/Support For Young People

COVID and LOCKDOWN continue to be challenging times for everyone-however our sexual health services are still open and continue to offer support for young people around their sexual health/wellbeing. Never be afraid or embarrassed to ask for help and support. Even if you are under 16, as a young person you have sexual health rights, rights to confidentiality and the rights to access help and support. Our friendly staff are non-judgemental and will be able to provide you with the support you may need.

FRESH is a FREE, FRIENDLY and CONFIDENTIAL sexual health service for young people under the age of 25 .

Our service offers support and information for young people including condoms, contraception/emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, testing and treatment for STIS including HIV.

Our service is citywide and our young person’s clinics are in Harpurhey and Wythenshawe (PLEASE NOTE DUE TO LOCKDOWN 3 -these provisions are currently closed).

Due to COVID you cannot just walk into a clinic but if you are either under 16, need emergency contraception, have been sexually assaulted or exposed to HIV then you can access help and support by telephoning our Emergency Line 0161 701 1513-Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.00pm ,Saturday morning 9.15am-11.15am.

All our clinics are closed on Sundays, public and bank holidays.

If you feel you are unable to access one of our many clinics you could speak to your school nurse who in turn  could contact our Outreach team to discuss how we can best support you -this may mean you could be seen in the community at a mutually convenient location.

If you are 16 or over you can order a FREE home STI testing kit that can be posted out to you.

Allowing you to test for chlamydia/gonorrhoea, HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
