Shout is the UK’s first 24/7 text service, free on all major mobile networks, for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help. ‘Shout’ is a team of volunteers who are at the heart of the service. We take people from crisis to calm every single day.

Hampshire Youth Access
Hampshire Youth Access (HYA) is a partnership of 11 leading agencies providing counselling, information, advice, and support to children and young people aged 5 to 17 across Hampshire. We also give advice and information to anyone concerned about a child or young person’s emotional wellbeing.

Mermaids
Mermaids provides a range of helpline services supporting transgender youth, up to and including the age of 25, and also support families and professionals.
The helpline team offer emotional support, a gateway to the parents and young people’s forums, information about current legislation and protections under the law, plus signposting to training and resources.

Healthier Together
The resources on the Healthier Together website have been developed in partnership between parents and healthcare professionals from across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. You’ll find clear information on common childhood illnesses, including advice on what ‘red-flag’ signs to look out for, where to seek help if required, what you should do to keep your child comfortable and how long your child’s symptoms are likely to last.

Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS)
The Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) is a highly specialised clinic for young people presenting with difficulties with their gender identity.
Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT)
CAPT give free child safety advice to parents and carers, support professionals working with children and families, support senior professionals and policymakers and advise the government and organisations on child safety.
ChatHealth (11-19 years of age)
The ChatHealth text service is an easy way for young people 11-19 to confidentially ask for help with a range of issues. The service is manned by qualified school nurses who have a wealth of experience of working with young people.
ChatHealth allows young people in Hampshire to text messages to a dedicated number. The messages are then delivered to a secure website. Once received, the school nurse will respond to the text within one working day.

Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Beat exist to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. They are a champion, guide and friend to anyone affected, giving individuals experiencing an eating disorder and their loved ones a place where they feel listened to, supported and empowered.

The Mix
The Mix is the UK’s leading support service for young people. They are here to help you take on any challenge you’re facing – from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs. Talk to them via their online community, on social media, through their free, confidential helpline or their counselling service.
