But why is it important?

Sleep helps our bodies restore energy and helps our performance in sports and exams.

A good nights sleep will also help to make our eyes brighter, skin clearer and hair glossier.

It will also help us regulate our hormones and mood and helps us cope better with stress.

Sleep routines are still important when we are a teenager, and even adults benefit from good bedtime routine and here are some tips.

What Can You Do?

Going to bed at the same time each night and trying to wind down an hour before bed.

Having a bath or a shower, getting into comfy pajamas, and dimming the lights.

Turn off your phone! Don’t be tempted to check that social media account. Screen activity too close to bedtime interferes with our sleep hormone production- melatonin and lack of this can stop us feeling sleepy.

Read a book, listen to some calming music and writing about your day helps us process the days thoughts.
