Did you know about the Immunisation Service?

Nottinghamshire has a dedicated immunisation team.

They deliver the school based vaccination programmes, including HPV (human papilloma virus), meningitis C and school leavers’ booster.

Immunisations protect children and young people in Nottinghamshire:

  • Immunisation from diseases like Polio that have disappeared in the UK, but are still around in many countries throughout the world.
  • Booster vaccinations for secondary school children in Year 9 to protect against tetanus, diphtheria, polio and meningococcal ACWY.
  • HPV immunisation which protects girls against the virues’s responsible for over 70% of cervical cancers. HPV is provided through 2 injections; the first is usually undertaken in Year 8 and then the second in year 9

If you’re off to college and not sure about your immunisation status you can ask your GP or contact the Immunisation Service on 07920 182032,  email: SAIS@nottshc.nhs.uk.  Bassetlaw 01777 200066, email: immunisation@nottsnc.nhs.uk

If you’re missing any immunisations they’ll be able to help you get up to date.
