Tellmi Therapy is free for anyone aged 11 and over in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Talking about how you feel is one of the best ways to look after your wellbeing. Tellmi is a safe and easy place to do this. If you live in Leicester, Leicestershire, or Rutland and you’re aged 11 or over, you can now get Tellmi Therapy for free.
You can use Tellmi Therapy even if you are already waiting for support from another service, like Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) or getting help somewhere else.
Tellmi is an online mental health service funded by the NHS. It gives young people a safe space to talk about anything that’s worrying them.
Tellmi is completely anonymous. You don’t share social media, you can’t send pictures, and you can’t message other users directly. Every post and reply is checked by a trained moderator before it appears, usually within about 15 minutes.
You must be 11 or older to use Tellmi.
Tellmi Therapy is free for anyone aged 11 and over in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Tellmi’s 1‑to‑1 text‑based therapy focuses on finding things that can help, instead of only looking at the problems. It helps you spot your strengths, think about different outcomes, and imagine positive next steps. You can still have this therapy if you are waiting for support from another service.

Getting Tellmi Therapy is simple. You can book sessions as soon as you make an account on the Tellmi app. Your school, a family member, your GP, or another support service can also refer you.
Sessions happen through the Tellmi app. They’re available every day from 8:30am to 10pm, usually outside school hours. There are no assessments and no waiting lists You can choose how many sessions you want, but most people find that having at least three sessions is helpful.
