Pride in Kent and Medway

Pride is for everyone — whether you’re LGBTQ+ yourself, an ally, or just want to celebrate love and belonging. Here’s everything happening across Kent and Medway this summer.

  • Pride is for everyone — LGBTQ+ people, allies, friends, family. There’s no entrance exam.
  • Meet others who get it — across Kent there are thousands of people just like you.
  • Live acts, drag performances, parades, food, and more — it’s a proper festival.
  • Most daytime Pride events across Kent are completely free to attend.

Events this summer

Saturday 25 July, Folkestone Pride at the Leas Bandstand, Folkestone

A coastal celebration at the gorgeous Leas Bandstand. The daytime festival is free, with ticketed afterparty options for older attendees. Great vibes, sea air, and good people.

Saturday 8 August, Margate Pride at Margate Main Sands and Dreamland

Celebrating its 10th birthday! The Margate seafront parade runs from 4 to 6pm and the full festival — exhibitions, workshops, headline acts and DJs at Dreamland — runs from late July through all of August. One of the most creative Pride events in the south east.

Saturday 22 August, Medway Pride at Rochester Castle Gardens

Over 500 people march through Rochester High Street before arriving at the stunning castle grounds for a full day of live music, dancing, food stalls, and community activities. Entry to the castle gardens needs to be booked once tickets are released.

Saturday 19 September, Ramsgate and Broadstairs Pride

A weekend of seaside Pride spanning two towns — family festival, workshops, community stages and a march soaking up the Thanet coastal spirit. Details still coming, so follow local Pride socials to stay updated.
