Some young people find it hard to eat a balance healthy diet over the summer holidays as they are at home more and have more access to the food cupboards/fridge or can go to the shops
What helps
Try to have fruit within sight for example as you head into the kitchen
Try to only have a few high fat/sugar foods in the house
Try to keep yourself busy - for some people when they are bored they tend to think about food all the time
Being active can help to reduce your craving for high fat/sugar foods - most graving only last around 20mins

We all know that we need to have 5 portions of fruit and veg everyday to help keep us healthy, for most people they manage about 3 portion a day how do you increase your fruit and vegetable intake?

Chat Health (Nurse) / 1 Aug 16:48

Did you know that having a smoothie once a day can count toward 1 of your 5 a day
Or try having dried fruit in your cereal a small handful of dried fruit counts as 1 of your 5 a day
