It can be physical, emotional, verbal, psychological...

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:32

this boy in my class always stares at me

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:34

Have you spoken to anyone about this?

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) / 12 Oct 15:32

Bullying can happpen to anyone of any age even adults, it can be physical and verbal

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:33

Bullying can be happen in groups or individually

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:33

what do I do because I don't want to tell anyone. No one understands.

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:35

nothing will change if you don't tell someone, bullying is not acceptable

SmilingKitten / 12 Oct 15:34

I haave a person in my class who im friends with but sometimes he takes a joke to far, whenever i say something he says its banter, and says all aboard the banter bus, but it does upset me and sometimes make me angry, is this biullying or?

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:34

YawningHorse: I think you should tell a friend first, get some advice from someone you are close to

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:35

Maybe it's not the way you think it is, until you don't speak to him / someone about it, you won't know what is up

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:35

smiling kitten - i'll get on the banter bus!

SmilingKitten / 12 Oct 15:36

my firends are all his friends though? i think they'd say something to him,.

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:36

There is a fine line, however, between bullying and joking. i.e if you find it intimidating, then it has crossed the joking line

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:37

if you let them carry on then he'll think it's ok to.

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:37

Yo Nurse, where you at?!

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:50

make sure you find a way to stay safe at school
walk home with someone or get a lift
Don't fight back

YawningHorse Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) / 12 Oct 15:40

SmilingKitten Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) / 12 Oct 15:40

you say don't fight back, does this mean i dont try and come back with witty comments to counter what they say? or shall i just back down ? i think they'd carry on more!

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:39

what about cyber bullying?

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:39

So... I go to my local corner shop after school everyday
The guy behind the counter is always calling me funny names
Everyone thinks it is okay and laughs
but i don't like it, what do I do? :(

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:42

talk to the person, take a trusted adult with you and tell that you don't like it. The person may not mean to upset you

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) / 12 Oct 15:40

Cyber bullying check privacy settings, block, delete, un friend

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:42

but everyone can still talk about it without my knowing? I can't really stop others

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) / 12 Oct 15:43

you can't stop people talking about it but you can remove yourself from the situation

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:44

if everyone stands up to bullying we can stop it!

Chat Health (Nurse - Moderator) YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:45

Great comment!!!!!

StunnedDinosaur / 12 Oct 15:45

I agree with YawningHorse, everyone should promote "stopping bullying"
Even bullys themselves are sometimes previous victims... you never know

YawningHorse / 12 Oct 15:47

we need to make a way for people to stop now! Nurse Hunny - what are your suggestions?
