Missing out on sleep during the night can really mess up your day!
1. Obvious alert... you feel sleepy!
Which means you can’t concentrate or learn properly.
2. Bad mood, dude!
You might be grumpy, more sensitive and more stressed than if you’d had a good night’s sleep, or find it difficult to learn and start getting behind in your school work.
3. Errr... I forgot.
Being tired can make it really, really hard to remember things – not great when you are preparing for exams!
4. The 'Meh' feels
You can feel really unmotivated and low.
5. Accident prone
You can’t react as quickly, which can lead to an increased risk of having accidents.
6. The dreaded caffeine cycle
You drink more stimulant drinks such as coffee, tea and coke, which then makes it more difficult to sleep at night.
7. Risky business
A tired brain is one that’s more likely to take a risk.
